The Saurian game is equipped with many achievement points, that classify the path of the player. These achievements serve as a sort of record of the notable activities the player has accomplished or as challenges that the player may want to achieve just for fun. These achievements, however, have no power over changing the gameplay mechanics, meaning these achievements don't need to be completed to unlock any previously impossible to play game mechanics, unless those that are associated with the expected gameplay.
It is to note that not all achievements are functional, due to various issues.
Dakotaraptor's Resting Place[]
This achievement is unlocked once the player is able to find the region in the map known as Bone Butte. This place is located in a very specific spot in the map. To find it, the player usually takes the ocean as a point of reference. Once the player finds the northermost river, that touches the ocean, the player must follow it upstream. The middle of the first bifurcation of that river is where the Bone Butte is found.
Fledgeling[]
This achievement is gained when the player becomes a juvenile for the first time. The only thing it has to do is to survive until age 1.
By default, this achievement doesn't unlock for everyone, due to being bugged.
Ghost of the Floodplain[]
This achievement is unlocked when you reach super-adult stage, which is when you get to age 11, in Dakotaraptor, and age 16 in Triceratops. Reaching to super-adult stage is quite challenging for the first time.
This achievement is currently broken.
Intraguild Predation[]
This achievement is unlocked if you successfully kill an Acheroraptor while in the juvenile stage. This can be challenging, as Acheroraptor can be predators for juvenile Dakotaraptor, though much easier for juvenile Triceratops, and given the player's larger size at the juvenile stage, the task starts to get easier.
Currently, this achievement seems to be broken.
Intraspecies Predation[]
This achievement is unlocked when you eat the flesh of another Dakotaraptor. This can be achieved either by killing one of your own species, or eating the carcass of a Dakotaraptor. Triceratops herbivorous diet prevents this achievement to be unlocked in Triceratops gameplay.
Gut Instinct[]
This achievement is unlocked once you kill your first prey. This is a pretty easy achievement for a Dakotaraptor, because you can unlock it as soon as you're a hatchling, by killing a Chamops, a DePalma's Ornithuran, a Lepisosteus or a Didelphodon. It can be complicated to unlock this achievement out of the hatchling stage, as carcasses tend to not be that common throughout an entire life stage. Triceratops may be able to kill other animals across its life time, but given they are herbivorous animals, they won't be able to eat their meat.
King of the Hill[]
This achievement is unlocked once you get to the officially highest geological elevation in the game. It is a bit hard to find this elevation, requiring some geographical localization, that is, knowing the map. You first need to locate the lake that is more to the northwest of the map, which is attached to the northermost river. By going upstream to this river, you'll find the lake. Once you find this lake, you will have to go west, where high mountains can be found. Walk at the top of the highest mountain where the bluffs make a U-shape surrounding the mountain. By walking back and forth, this achievement must be unlocked, but doesn't always work in the first game load.
"Only the strong survive..."[]
This achievement is unlocked once you die from old age. This achievement is impossible to unlock, because the game has not yet implemented death by old age. Currently, the player can live for as much as the game lets it, until it dies due to hunger, thirst, venom, fall or animal attack or trample.
The Big One[]
This achievement is unlocked when you get to the adult stage, which is achieved at age 6 in Dakotaraptor, and at age 8 in Triceratops. It is not very hard to get to this age, once you are careful enough to know what to hunt and/or avoid and how to behave in the various circumstances offered by the game.
The Crocodile Hunter[]
This achievement is unlocked once the player is able to take down a Borealosuchus. It is not such an easy task, as the Borealosuchus can take down a huge amount of health in the player, so it is advised to run past it and repeatedly bite it on its back, as a Dakotaraptor, before the croc delivers a bite on you, as RPR in these animals does not protect the player from the crocodylomorph's bite. Triceratops, as they grow older, can much more easily kill one. The achievement is not unlocked if the player lures the Borealosuchus to a death not directly caused by the player. Seemingly this achievement is not completed if you kill a Brachychampsa (which ironically is more related to crocodiles than Borealosuchus, as it is a true crocodilian).
"They're Lethal at Eight Months"[]
This achievement is finished once you get to the subadult stage, at age 3. This is challenging, as you need to emcompass the hatchling and juvenile stages without dying, but overall an easy task.
Trackway[]
This is achieved when the player crosses 100 km, walking or running. There are no implications in the gameplay when this achievement is unlocked, as this is probably the easiest to unlock, as the player will eventually do it after walking and running all over the map, surviving, over time.
