"In the undergrowth, horsetails formed dense thickets along the banks of the river, and the aquatic angiosperm Cobbania grew in areas of slow or standing water."
― Saurian encyclopedia
Cobbania hickeyi was an extinct species of aquatic aroid, known from the Hell Creek Formation. It was initially believed to be from the extant genus Pistia, which includes modern water lettuce, but it probably only evolved a similar form independently from modern water lettuce. It was an aquatic plant from the Araceae family, the same family that also includes other monocotyledoneous flowering plants. In appearance, it resembles a lettuce or a cabbage, with the main difference that it is usually found floating in the water, with their roots floating below the surface. They usually grow together in large groups, that cover the surface of the water, and provide shelter for many aquatic animals, such as turtles and crocodylomorphs.
In Saurian[]
There are no known definitive plans for the inclusion of the Cobbania in the game, although it is shown in the official game's artbook and mentioned in the game's encyclopedia.
