Flooding is an environmental characteristic currently in the Saurian game. The game's water level will usually rise most of the times when or after its raining. The rising of the water level dramatically alters the behaviour of the animals and the player, as lots of dry land that was initially above water, become submerged. Forests and prairies nearby rivers can become completely under water after rainfalls. The player may have difficulties in guarding certain innanimate objects, like carcasses, which will be completely submerged with the rising waters and will then be unreachable. Flooding also greatly alters the movement of AI creatures, and your movements as well, forcing you to cross large portions of water to get to a certain desired location or avoid lowland areas altogether.
