Gleicheniaceae (incorrectly spelled Gleichenaiceae in the encyclopeida) is the family that is consistsed of ferns known as forked ferns. Being softer than the hard ferns and chain ferns, they are probably a much more ideal food source for the various herbivores in Hell Creek, being found in abundance in and around the fern prairie.
