"The yet unnamed Icthyornithean (Fish Bird) is a coastal animal living along the shores of the Western Interior Seaway, filling the niche that gulls fill today. This animal also retains some teeth, along with a bill at the tip of the upper jaw, which aids in catching slippery fish."
―Saurian: A Field Guide to Hell Creek
Ichthyornitheans were a group of extinct bird relatives. They were avialans that had teeth in their beaks. They were aquatic, living mostly close to the sea, like modern seagulls and other marine birds, eating fish, crustaceans and mollusks. Ichthyornithines lived in the Late Cretaceous and became extinct in the K-Pg extinction event. Some remains of this group are known to exist in the Hell Creek formation.
In Saurian[]
There are no known plans for the inclusion of the ichthyornithean in the game, although it is found in an illustration in the official artbook.
