"In the brackish waters of the inlet and the shallows of the Western Interior Sea lives a different assemblage of fish, dominated mostly by sharks and rays. Carpet sharks (Restesia) and nurse sharks (Protoginglymostoma) can also be found occasionally moving up the mouth of the river."
―Saurian: A Field Guide to Hell Creek
Restesia is an extinct species of shark native from the Hell Creek and the Lance Formation. In appearance it would look like a wobbegong shark (Orectolobidae), however, it is not known if it actually belonged to the wobbegong family. In general, it is likely it was a carpet shark. Given the fact that it had a flat body, it was a bottom-dwelling shark, spending its time at the underwater floor waiting for small aquatic animals to pass by, so that they can be eaten. Restesia possibly also had a fitting colouration so that it could camouflage on the sand or dirt water bottom.
In Saurian[]
There are no known plans to include Restesia in the physical game, although it is in the official game's artbook.
